Can't wait to get going again!
I REALLY want to go running again soon, but just too tired and nauseous. Hopefully, I can get back to somewhat normal runs in about 4 weeks. I have gained two pounds, but I'm not too worried about it. I had my first pregnancy 'head over toilet' experience tonight. My very worst week with the girls was week 10 (I was throwing up at least once a day, but usually 2-3 times a day). I started feeling a bit better around week 16 and actually would go 4-6 days without an experience. So, I am thinking (hoping) this time around since it is just one baby that I should feel better by week 14 and I can start going back to the gym again. Still hoping to gain under 20 pounds. Man, this next week is probably going to be miserable. Oh what joy--Merry Christmas to me! I love our growing little peanut.

should I or shouldn't I?
I haven't been running or doing any exercise for over a week and a half. I don't know if I should even bother with the race because I don't want German to have to wait FOREVER for me to finish. He'll probably finish in 45 minutes and I may not even be half way done. I've been even more nauseous and tired lately. The 3 1/2 hour drive is not going to fun either...oh well, fun!

nausea + tired = no running
I went to the gym on Tuesday and ran/walked 3 miles. I didn't enjoy it and was feeling kinda yuck. I don't know if I will be going running much more before the race. Hopefully, I can manage to at least get through the whole 10K walking. We'll see...blah.

Running again
I didn't do any exercise Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. But yesterday I decided to try and get back on track, I ran/walked 3.5 miles yesterday and 4 miles today. I'm really taking it easy and not paying attention to my time, so I'll be lucky if I finish the 10K in less than 90 minutes.
I did talk to my doctor about running the 10K and she said it was fine. I just have to make sure I slow down if I start cramping at all and drink lots of water. I just hope I am not nauseous. I am already starting to have some evening nausea/heartburn. I started looking through the pregnancy journal I kept with the girls...I wrote down each time I threw up and noticed that the first time I barfed I was 7 weeks 4 days and I will be just about that far along the day of the 10K. Hopefully, this pregnancy will be different and I won't be stopping to hurl during the race.

what now?
Soooo, I figured out why I've been so tired and lazy lately. I didn't go running all weekend long and was feeling really disappointed in myself. Now I guess I don't feel so bad. Yesterday I only ran two miles. We are still planning on running the Moab 10K, hopefully I won't be feeling sick. I am not focusing too much on my time now, I just want to be able to finish. Unfortunately, we won't be doing the half marathon--I'm bummed, but we really need to save the money anyway. Oh well, next fall I'll just have to start training again for some race the following spring.
Isn't it funny how I get pregnant just after I lose all my baby weight? I now weigh five pounds less than I did when I first got pregnant with the girls. I gained almost 60 pounds total with them, but my goal this time around is to keep it under 20. I will be posting my weight gain each month, so I can keep track and be accountable. I'll be posting pics later this week for you Shaunna!

so far this week
Monday-4.5 mile run
Tuesday-PowerYoga class
Today-3.5 mile run (I keep shaving seconds off my 3 mile runs, today was 32:36) & lower body weights
Tomorrow I get to rest (YAY)
Friday-3 mile run
Saturday-5 mile run
So, a few of you have asked to see a recent picture of me. We had family pics taken, but we are not purchasing the digital copies. Once I receive the prints we ordered I will be scanning and posting a few of them, they should arrive in a couple of weeks. I've been meaning to have German take a pic of me, but have yet to do so. I am NOT photogenic at all, so I've never really liked having my picture taken. IF more of you out there really want me to post a pic of myself I will, but you have to comment below. ;)

almost perfect...
Yesterday I ran 3 miles in 32:54. Today was supposed to be my long 5 mile run. I got dressed to go to the gym around 11am, but I kept putting it off and playing with the girls. Finally, we put the girls to bed at 7pm, I put my shoes on to go and THEN I decided to take a bath and drink some hot chocolate...I just couldn't do it. Too tired. Oh well, there is always next week. Good night!

4 mile run
I ran 4 miles in 45:14 today. That's about an 11:19/mile pace, which means I am improving and getting a little faster...YAY! Still no chance of me keeping up with German, unless he goes super slow. I think my goal for the Moab 10K will be to finish in under 70 minutes. As long as I do better than my last 10K, I'll be happy. I hope there will be nice weather in Moab because I am so excited for the beautiful scenery. Below I copied and pasted an email both German and I received yesterday. Half Marathon here we come...sign up and join us!

Doing pretty good so far this week...
Saturday we played ward volleyball in the morning and I didn't run. Yesterday, I did sprint intervals for 3.5 miles and then did some lower body weights. Today I did a PowerYoga class and then 20 mins on the elliptical machine. It's nice to get a break and do something other than running.
Just so I am accountable, here is what I am supposed to do for the rest of the week--give me smack if I don't stick to it!
Tomorrow: 4 mile run
Thursday: rest day
Friday: 3 mile run
Saturday: 5 mile run
I gave in and had way too much Halloween candy. And of course it has to be pumpkin bread, pie & cookie time of year. Kneaders pumpkin bread is to die for! Not so good for my caboose, but oh so yummy!

Organic baby food & gym today
Organic baby food is probably best for your baby, but it can get pretty expensive. Save money and make your own! Local Farmer's Markets are pretty much over for the year (the one at Murray Park ends tomorrow). If you buy organic fruits and vegis like squash, potatoes, apples & bananas, you can make your own baby food for much cheaper than buying organic in the jars. Just cook, puree and thin out with breast milk or formula. Freeze in ice cube trays for perfect storage. Below are some links with more info.

Today I ran 4.5 miles at the gym and did some upper body weights. I am planning to go tomorrow...HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!

What a beautiful day!
Today the high was 77 degrees in Salt Lake...soooo nice! It is supposed to stay in the 70s for the rest of the week. I decided to run my three miles outside today. German and I have been staying up way too late and I've been so lazy this week--no exercise at all before today. AND yesterday I had toast w/ jam and celery w/ peanut butter...today I made chocolate chip cookies. Tomorrow I am going to slow it down-no Halloween candy for me!

Brown Cow Yogurt & gym today
I've been trying to eat better and buy healthier all natural/organic foods whenever possible. I went to an outdoor farmer's market yesterday and bought some red potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, onions and apples. Farmers Markets are fun and the produce usually costs much less than at the grocery store. Not only is it fresher, but better for the environment. I saw on the news tonight that 25% of produce goes bad during transport and is thrown away. Did you know that most food in the grocery store travels an average of 1,500 miles between the farm where it was grown and your refrigerator? What a terrible waste--buy produce locally!!!
So, I've decided to use this blog to highlight some of the great foods I am discovering. Brown Cow Yogurt uses all natural ingredients and milk containing no artificial growth hormones. It is gluten-free, sweetened with evaporated cane juice AND IT IS DELICIOUS! Their website is fun and also contains some recipes that look amazing! For an added bonus, you can put in your email address and print some coupons to save a little money. I have tried the vanilla, plain and maple flavors and they are all so rich and creamy. The cream top vanilla is my very favorite, although it does have more fat, it seriously taste like vanilla pudding. Yogurt is so good for your 'digestive tract and improves intestinal function, promotes good digestive health, and leads your body's defenses against a number of ailments'. (info from website) Go try some!
Today I ran 3 miles in 33:31 and feel sooo happy about it! I am able to breathe better and my heart rate doesn't get as high. All good news. Next week I am going to run four times a week and really stick to my training schedule.

Finally feeling a little better...
Have any of you tried LARABARS??? They are amazing! I first heard about them a couple of weeks ago from a friend and just tried them out last week. I am hooked and have loved every flavor--I have had one bar everyday. My favorite is the chocolate coconut chew and ginger snap. I love them and still cannot believe it when I read the ingredients. It is just fruits and nuts and sometimes cinammon, cocoa, cloves, ginger or other yummy flavor. No added sugars or preservatives just pure deliciousness. I wish I had found them sooner because they are a great treat and safe to eat during this no sugar/no starch diet.I ran 4 miles at the gym today and although my nose kept running, I felt pretty good. I was able to maintain a 12 minute mile, which was good. I was worried I'd do worse because I hadn't been running since last Tuesday. Only six more weeks until the Moab 10K--I really want to get my speed up. Any suggestions?
One more week until I am going to start slowly incorporating starches and sugars back into my diet again. I am going to try to stay away from refined sugars as much as possible and since I now have wheat, I plan to bake my very first loaf of whole grain wheat bread. Any recipes recommendations out there? My weight has been very consistent the last couple of weeks. I'm content with where I am now, but I think some weight training and intense fat-burning exercise will get my body exactly how I want it.

I'm sick...
No more exercise this week because I'm sick. Audrey started Wednesday with a stuffy nose and I woke up yesterday with a sore throat and a stuffy nose. Lucy also has it, so I guess their extra crankiness is now explained. Poor little girls. If I feel bad then they probably feel even worse. I really want to go to the gym tomorrow, but I have so much sinus pressure and just feel plain yucky. Hopefully, by Monday I can get back on track.

Gym day
Today I did some intervals on the treadmill. I did some sets of steep incline running, sprinting and then fast walk for a total of 3.5 miles. Then I did some upper body weight training. Oh, and I love the music on my MP3 player. It makes exercising so much more fun!
I made the pumpkin pie with Splenda and well, it is ok. It just has that weird taste. I really LOVE pumpkin pie and it is just disappointing when I know what it should taste like. The pecan crust is pretty good though. I may use the crust again, although my grandma's pie crust recipe is amazing! I can't wait to bake for the holidays.

I went to the gym.
I forgot to mention our free Gold's Gym passes. German was helping out his old boss for a couple of weeks and to say thanks he added both German and me to their corporate Gold's Gym membership (a perk for all his employees). SwEEEt, huh? I was so worried about training during the winter months, he is such a cool guy. This is the same old boss that gave German couches as a bonus. I ran 3.0 miles in 35:18, which is great because I ran a 12:33 mile during my 10K. I was also able to lift weights, which I haven't done for over two years. It felt great, but I am much wimpier than I used to be. Anyway, I now no longer have the cold weather as an excuse.

No 5K run tomorrow
It is going to be REALLY cold tomorrow, so I've decided not to run the 5K. Luckily, it was free to sign-up--I've also been so busy/tired this week and haven't done any exercise since Tuesday. I may go to the gym tomorrow...maybe.
I've been looking for no sugar/no starch recipes and I was really excited to find that I can make pumpkin pie with Splenda. And the pie crust is made with crushed nuts and butter. YUM! I'll let you know how it tastes. Even though bananas are a bit starchy, I am going to try making some banana pancakes out of bananas, eggs & vanilla.
FYI-we are getting some family pictures taken on Thursday and I think I'm going to buy some new jeans.

I want to run a 10 minute mile!
The fastest I've been able to run a mile is 10:43, but it was a week before my 10K race and I was dying by the end. Today, on a whim, I tried to do a 10 minute mile, but after about half a mile I needed to slow down. I'm a dummy, first I need to get back to a 12 minute mile and then maybe try an 11 minute one. My goal is by Dec. 6th (Moab 10K) I will be running a 10 minute mile! Maybe even 2-3 miles at that pace, umm, we'll see. Bytheway, I ran/walked three miles today and I had a little bit of Jif. It was really good :o

3.75 miles
I needed to go to the library and I wanted to get some exercise. Soooo, I did both! You may be wondering how I know exactly how many miles I run--well, there is this awesome website called mapmyrun. I used it and found out that the library was only about 2 miles away. So, I ran to the library and walked back with a couple of books. I checked out 'A Tree Grows in Brooklyn' and I already love it.
Oh and German and I are going to do the Moab Winter Sun 10K on December 6th. I'm excited--I really needed something to work towards to keep me motivated. I have nine weeks to try and get down to a 10 minute mile!

I went...walking
I didn't give myself very much time this morning and I had to get back before German left. Sooo, I just walked 1.5 miles with my five pound handweights. I figured it was better than nothing--I kept telling myself I'd go back out and run with the girls in the stroller later. Yeah right, I finally showered at 2pm. Friday will be a good 3-4 miles for sure! I signed up for a 5K up at Hill Air Force Base next Saturday the 11th. It should be fun and it's free! German has been wanting to go to the museum since we've lived in Utah (he, like many other males, drools over planes), but I've always made excuses not to go (I, myself, am not a big fan). So, this works out perfect, I'll be running while he shows the girls all the cool planes. I'd really love to finish the race in 30 minutes, but we'll see how things go this Friday. I don't know if I can make that happen in one week!
P.S. I technically still haven't had any sweets. I say technically because I bought some sugar free Hershey's chocolate chips and I've eaten a few. They were REALLY good and didn't taste sugar free, so I felt like I'd cheated. I haven't had any more, though. I am going to try to keep this up until Halloween--do you think my body will go into some sort of sugar shock if I binge on candy that night? Let me know...

I went running!
Yay me! After two weeks of only doing some yoga streches and light exercises at home, I finally got my butt outside and did a 2.8 mile run/walk. It felt good and the weather is soooo nice. I am going M W F, so hold me to it! If I don't post about it than I am in trouble. Bytheway, I am only about 3 pounds away from my pre-pregnancy weight and I can wear my pre-prego clothes again!!! I am REALLY happy about that, but I still want to lose about 10-15 more.

Two weeks...no sugar...still alive...
I've never restricted my diet before, so I thought this no sugar thing would be ALOT harder. And don't get me wrong it was pretty difficult at first, but actually now it isn't so bad (you were right Shaunna). I don't really crave it anymore, it all sounds delicious, but it's not an overpowering need. I'm going to stick to it for another month or so and then gradually introduce it again. I have to get ready for Thanksgiving feast-time!
On a side note, I'm losing my motivation to run. I made a training schedule that was pretty easy from now until January 1st and then I plan to pick up the pace. I decided to take it slow with the holidays and all. But I need some motivation to stick to my easy schedule right now, which is only 8-10 miles a week. Any suggestions???

Still keeping on...
I haven't been exercising much, but I have stuck to my no sweets rule pretty well. Although yesterday, I ate half a Fiber One chocolate/oatmeal granola bar & it was sooooooo good. That's about it for now, just thought I should write it down & let you know!

Whoa...
So, I went on a 2 mile run this morning and it was harder than I thought it would be. It's crazy how fast your body can deteriorate. I need to develop maintenance and moderation skills. The weekend was hard foodwise, but still no sweets. I'm so used to baking cookies or something sweet on Sundays, instead I settled for some strawberries with Splenda. It was yummy!

Splenda
What do you all think of Splenda? I have continued my no sweets rule, but yesterday I decided to put some Splenda on berries. It was great and no guilt. I've heard it isn't so great for you, but for now until I decide to incorporate sweets again, it will do. No exercise today, but Monday morning--it's me and the road bright and early!!!

Today
I took the girls on a 2 mile walk today. It is soooo nice outside and I didn't want to rush it by running. I brought the girls lunch with me and I stopped to feed them. They are just so much fun, I love 'em to pieces. For lunch, I had cottage cheese w/ tomatoes from the garden. I wish I could tell you it was delicious, but it was kind of blah. I have been losing weight which is very motivating, but I have to keep reminding myself that this is not about my weight--I just want to be healthy! I think I will post on here when I make it to my pre-pregnancy weight and then again when (and if) I make it to my goal weight. Most importantly, I have more energy, I am happier and I really feel much better. I do miss sweets immensely because I have gone cold turkey for three days now. The withdrawls are killing me! Hopefully, I can keep it up...

I've been pretty good...
I have been eating really well, but no exercise. I was thinking of taking a break for a week, but I kind of miss running. Weird. It's been cold and dark in the mornings, so if I don't go at 6am then it's me and the girls at 11am. Just a short 2 or 3 miles to get my blood flowing. This blog is just going to be randomness I guess. I mainly want to report my exercise and when I eat poorly for accountability purposes. But thanks for the advice and encouragement and for sharing your fav music. I've added some GREAT stuff to my MP3 player!

My favorite running songs...
So, this is def my favorite running song. Some songs can really get me moving and this one is great! I decided to put the music video because Dierks is soooo dang HOT! (C'mon Kiersta, I know you hate country music...but you have to admit that this guy is a babe!)
Free & Easy by Dierks Bentley
And I also love almost anything by Black Eyed Peas. This one gets me runnin' runnin' and runnin' runnin' and....(sorry about the crotch grabs & the scantily clad Fergie)

My blog is back!
I have decided to do things a little bit different here on this blog because, well frankly, writing everything is just plain time consuming and uninteresting. And since blogger disabled it for a week and my race is over, I kind of don't want to start it again. So for now my current plan is the following (which may change in the future because I'm crazy like that):
1) I MUST write down anytime I eat very bad sugary sweets or icky fatty foods and how much of it I consume.
2) How much exercise I do, which I am reducing to only 3-4 times a week.
3) Write down one food I ate that is good and healthy for me. It will be whatever food or dish I feel like writing about. It may be just an apple or a whole dinner entree.
4) Water consumption is the most important thing for me and my goal is at least 80 oz a day.
Then if I have any thoughts, ideas or questions, I'll finish with that...

German had to work this morning from 7-11a, so I couldn't go on my run until later in the day. Actually, I didn't start my run until 1pm...not so smart since the high today was 98 degrees. It was so hot and I thought I was going to pass out. Hopefully, next Saturday will go better for me.
Snack: Large round slice of watermelon & berry smoothie (made w/ 1 cup berries, 1/2 cup plain yogurt, 1 banana, 1 cup orange/pineapple juice, ice and 2 tsp Splenda)
Lunch: Angel hair pasta w/ spaghetti sauce leftovers, 1/2 celery stick in PB
Dinner: Large spinach salad w/ grated colby jack, cherry tomatoes, 1 cup of baked chicken strips and sun dried tomato vinagrette dressing, large glass of pineapple orange juice
Water: 110+ oz

Week 3-Day 1
Breakfast: 1 cup of plain yogurt w/ 1 tsp of organic cane sugar and one banana, one piece of wheat toast w/ strawberry jam
Snack: 1/2 cup of trail mix (the same M&M/nut & raisin one)
Lunch: omelet made w/ eggs, cheese, milk and salsa, large round slice of watermelon, 2 celery sticks dipped in PB, 2 glasses of rasp. lemonade
Dinner: angel hair pasta w/ tomato & ground beef (spaghetti) sauce, one glass of rasp. lemonade
Water: 80 oz
Exercise: rest days are so nice...
I am posting early today because I needed a distraction. About 10 minutes ago, I heard some loud carousel type music and thought one of the girls toys was going off. But nope, it was coming from outside--I opened the door to see an ice cream truck pass right by! Oh man, I wanted to chase that truck down! Because we've lived in apartment complexes for so long, it's been years (maybe 10 or 15) since I've seen an ice cream truck go by my house. Kind of odd that it goes by at 7:15pm, but I exercised a bit of self-control. Although, now I'm dreaming of those red/white and blue astropops and ice cream sundaes in a waffle cone and chocotacos...(*sigh*)

Week 2--Day 7
Breakfast: 1 cup vanilla yogurt w/ half a banana
Snack: apple
Lunch: Turkey sandwich on focaccia bread (lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and yes a bit of mayo)
Snack: German and I found this place in Sugarhouse called Dolce Coffee and they have a fantastic spumoni gelato--I couldn't resist, I ate two scoops and Kiersta, it is to DIE for!
Dinner: Carribean chicken salad from Rumbi--so yummy! It has romaine lettuce, chicken, pinto & black beans, white rice, mandarin oranges, pineapple, tortilla strips and I think that's all. OH and an amazing (and probably fattening) honey lime dressing
Water: 90+ oz
Exercise: 2.5 miles...I was slow, but it was 8pm (note to self--don't go exercise that late in the evening, I get way too tired)
Guess what--I finally purchased some new running shoes and I LOVE them! It feels like I am running on air and they have this hot pink/purplish color on them, which matches my sports watch (I know I am such a girly girl)! Then I found this Nike shirt on clearance that matched, too! I had to take a picture to show all of you, exercising is much more fun when I feel cute--even if I don't really look that cute ;)

Week 2--Day 6
Breakfast: 1 cup Honey Bunches of Oats w/ skim milk & half a slice of wheat toast w/ strawberry jam
Lunch: baked chicken sandwich (finally finished off the leftover chicken) with cheese and 4 sliced cherry tomatoes from my garden...I wanted mayo, but resisted the urge. I had the power!
Snack: very large slice of watermelon--it was soooo good!
Dinner: Spinach salad with a couple tbsp of cranberries, cottage cheese and grated colby jack cheese w/ some raspberry vinagrette on top and half a cheese tortilla--or quesadilla, whichever language you prefer :)
Water: 70 oz.
Exercise: This is funny...so, I put the girls down for a nap and started to do TaeBo. BUT Lucy is getting her top teeth and she woke up from her nap pretty upset only about 20 mins into it. She also woke up Audrey and after 30 mins of them both being grumpy and needy and almost impossible, I decided to go rollerblading with them in the stroller to get my exercise. Now, I haven't used my rollerblades in over 2 years and I realized after about 20 mins that I really need to lube and rotate the wheels before I go again. It was hard. I only planned on going for 45 mins, but the girls had finally fallen asleep, so I went on this weird route to a park. It was alot of up and downhill stuff and well, I made it home an hour and half later. I got a great workout and some blisters too. Lesson learned. Oh well, the girls fell asleep and that's all that matters. TTFN friends!

Week 2--Day 4
Snack: two scoops of german chocolate ice cream (again my mother-in-law bought before she left--why??!!)
Lunch: baked chicken strips on romaine lettuce w/ poppy seed dressing & a few bites of this garlic shrimp thingy with rice & vegis that my hubby made
Dinner: one stuffed green pepper (kind of made up the stuffing...it had ground beef, zucchini, onions, garlic, basil and I made a white sauce w/ sour cream and cream of mushroom soup) and this cooked tomato/onion thingy on the side
Water: 90+ oz
Exercise: rest day
So, I am one of those people who does pretty well at resisting the urge to buy junk food (except sometimes when out at a restaurant), but for some reason if it is given to me, bought for me or put in front of my face--I cannot resist, i.e the carrot cake & chocolate ice cream. That's why I do not like having sweets in my house because I can and often will eat it all in one sitting. I want to overcome this weakness, I totally feel like I lose control...but I've got to implement some mind over body. I have the power, right? I guess I did only have two scoops of ice cream and I REALLY wanted more this evening. Anyway, just something I was thinking about today.
Also, on a positive note, I was talking to German and told him how I was excited to go on my run in the morning. It's weird I know, but I am starting to really look forward to it now instead of dreading it. I plan to keep it up after the 10K...goodnight!

DRINK MORE WATER!!!
I just read about water on another blog. I've never tried Primo water, but I thought these facts on their website were pretty interesting. Check it out here. I thought these two facts were the most interesting:
--Even mild dehydration will slow down an individual's metabolism as much as 3%.(Health News, September 2004)
--In 37% of Americans, the thirst mechanism is so weak that it is often mistaken for hunger.(Health News, September 2004)

Week 2--Day 3
Breakfast: half an apple, raspberry yogurt, 1 serving of scrambled eggs, 1/2 cup of fresh pineapple, 1 glass of cranberry/orange juice and one bite of a stale bagel (NO BACON & NO SAUSAGE and oh man did I want it!!!)
Lunch: MORE trail mix in the car and some mate w/ no sugar...we were driving home and didn't want to pull over to eat.
Dinner: leftover ham & cheese pie (tarta) and a couple bites of carrot cake that German's mom bought before she left...why?!
Water: 60 oz.
Exercise: 4 miles on treadmill--The exercise room only had ONE treadmill and someone was using it. I had to go back later, but I did not have as much time and we needed to check out of our hotel. Next week I'll have to do 5.5 miles to get ready for the 10K. I think I'll be lucky if I finish in under 90 minutes! Also, 100 sit-ups & 20 push-ups.
I think I need to set at least a weekly goal for myself and this week I'm following Kiersta's goal of no eating after 7pm.

Week 2--Day 1&2
-Thursday-
Breakfast: German wanted waffles. I made some honey wheat ones and only ate one.
Lunch: chicken milanesa sandwich (cheese & bread)
Snack: too much trail mix again...very addicting
Dinner: was SOOO good!!! A mini hamburger (called a slider), flatbread w/ cheese, tomato & balsamic vinegar, and sweet potato fries.
It was kinda late, so we decided to eat something at the hotel bar's dinner menu. German and I wanted to kiss the cook for delighting our tastebuds so much. Everything was amazingly delicious and came in smaller portions, which helped me not feel guilty. If any of you are ever in Jackson Hole come try some food at The Rustic Inn. WOW!
Water: only about 40 oz. because I didn't want to have to pull over during the drive
Exercise: Total rest day, although we did walk around town for about 20 mins to help the girls get sleepy.
-Friday-
Breakfast: Free hot breakfast at the hotel, I was kinda bad. I tried to follow Lori's 'power of one' and only picked up one piece of sausage and one piece of bacon, but then German gave me a piece of bacon from his plate...Some scrambled eggs, fruit, and a muffin. Also some orange cranberry juice. I'll do better tomorrow morning.
Lunch: Hot dog, plain hamburger patty and a cookie (awful)
Dinner: The restaurant was called Bubba's BBQ, so you can probably guess how that went. German and I shared a combo platter that had BBQ pork, brisket & chicken w/ beans and potatoes on the side, again VERY yummy. Oh and of course we had to share a slice of buttermilk pie that my bro-in-law recommended.
Water: again not so good, probably only about 40 oz again
Exercise: river rafting included a bit of paddling, but not too much of a workout
Tomorrow I plan on going to the exercise room right when I wake up to do my 5 mile run. I haven't done any of my runs on a treadmill yet, so it will be interesting to compare. We are heading home around noon, so Sunday should be back to normal. The girls are so out of whack, but they've been pretty good overall.

You may be wondering why I've eaten so much Argentine food...well, German's mom has been here since Saturday and she's been cooking some yummy stuff for us! Tomorrow we are going to Jackson Hole for the weekend with family. Hopefully, I won't eat too horribly. Our hotel does have an exercise room, so I am still planning on doing my long run on Sat! NO EXCUSES!!!
